TDLR Online Services is the self-service portal at tdlr.texas.gov where the actual license renewal happens. Your CE course gets you eligible; the portal is where you renew.
A typical online renewal:
- Complete your CE hours through a TDLR-approved provider
- Log in to TDLR Online Services and select your license
- Update your personal information — keeping your mailing address and email current is part of the renewal
- Attest that you've completed the required CE — your approved provider reports the completion to TDLR for you
- Pay the renewal fee by credit card; TDLR emails your confirmation once the renewal is processed
Renewing through the portal is the fastest route — it skips the mail transit and manual handling a paper renewal adds. A timely and sufficient renewal application may keep your existing license in effect while TDLR processes it, so complete every requirement — CE, information updates, and fees — before your expiration date, and verify your status with TDLR. Mail-in is still required in certain cases, such as licenses expired more than 18 months and some military applications.
