Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using OnlineTexasCE, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our services.
2. Course Enrollment
When you purchase a course, you receive access for the period specified (typically 180 days). You must complete the course before the expiration date to receive credit. Course access is for your personal use only and may not be shared or transferred.
3. TDLR Compliance
Our courses are approved by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate license information
- Completing the course yourself (no proxies)
- Meeting attendance verification requirements
- Understanding your license renewal requirements
We report completions electronically to TDLR within 24 hours of course completion. In the rare case that TDLR's reporting system is unavailable or changes, or a filing needs manual review, reporting may take longer — TDLR rules give providers up to seven days to report (16 TAC §59.51(e)), and we complete any delayed filing as soon as possible within that window. A reporting delay never changes your course completion date, which is the date TDLR credits. You should verify your CE credit has been posted to your TDLR record.
4. Academic Integrity
You must complete all course work yourself. Any attempt to circumvent attendance verification, have someone else complete the course, or otherwise fraudulently obtain CE credit may result in:
- Immediate termination of your account
- Forfeiture of course fees
- Reporting to TDLR
- Potential legal action
5. Payment and Refunds
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Refunds are available within 30 days of purchase if you have not completed the course. Once a course is completed, refunds are no longer available. Refunds take 5-10 business days to process. Contact us for refund requests.
6. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
7. Course Content
All course content is protected by copyright. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our course materials without written permission. Course content is provided for educational purposes only.
8. Limitation of Liability
OnlineTexasCE is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid for the course.
9. Technical Requirements
You are responsible for having adequate internet access and a compatible device to access our courses. We recommend using a modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge) for the best experience.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be communicated via email.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Texas.
