Q.01Is the license tracker really free?
Yes. Tracking licenses, renewal reminders, and status alerts are free with an OnlineTexasCE account — no subscription and no card on file. We make our money selling TDLR-approved CE courses; the tracker is on us.
Q.02Do my employees need their own accounts?
No. You add licenses by name or license number from TDLR's public records. The people you track never log in, never get emails from us, and don't need an account — reminders go to you.
Q.03Where does the license data come from?
Status and expiration come from TDLR's public license records, refreshed daily. CE details are checked periodically and can lag a bit behind TDLR. Each entry shows the public-record fields only: name, license type, status, expiration, and county — for anything critical, verify directly with TDLR.
Q.04How do reminders work?
You pick a lead time (30 days by default) and we email you a digest ahead of any watched license's expiration date. If a watched license is suspended or revoked by a TDLR administrative order, we alert you as well.
Q.05How many licenses can I track?
Up to 50 licenses per account — enough for a salon, shop, or contracting crew. Add them one at a time or paste a list of license numbers straight from a spreadsheet.
